Mr.Benny Joins Digital Innovation Zone's "Test Before Invest" Program

OPTI, a member of the Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) and an active participant in the North-East ecosystem based in Iași, took part in the regional hub’s annual meeting held on December 13, 2024. The event highlighted strategic collaborations among DIZ partners and upcoming digital innovation projects for 2025.

Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) is a European Digital Innovation Hub (eDIH), a “one-stop shop” for digitalization, connected to a network of over 200 hubs across Europe. DIZ supports SMEs and public institutions in adopting digital technologies and accelerating their digital transformation.

During the meeting, MrBenny.com, an OPTI spin-off focused on IT and cyber-risk, was included in DIZ’s “Test Before Invest” program. This European model allows organizations to test innovative solutions before acquisition, through mini-pilots and impact assessments. The first testing round for MrBenny will take place in collaboration with PraxisMedica.ro, Consultmed.ro, and Volter.ro, all members of the DIZ ecosystem.

At the same time, OPTI and DIZ agreed to launch several joint research directions for the further development of the MrBenny platform. These include creating a risk measurement methodology aligned with NIST standards, assessing the reliability of an open-source cybersecurity agent, and integrating the DataCare+ knowledge base with equipment manufacturers’ APIs, including those in the medical field.

The initiatives planned for 2025 will align with DIZ’s priority areas and the European programs connected to the eDIH network.
